In order to keep costs down in the winter months large energy users are being asked to plan ahead. Large businesses need to be on guard for the next 'triads'.
Triads are extra charges placed on businesses based on their average half hourly electricity usage during the Uk's three national system peaks.
Triads fall from November to February, usually between 5-6pm during cood weather when higher business demand can coninside with high domestic periods.
Wayne Mitchell, npower’s Industrial and Commercial Markets Director said: “We’re always working to help businesses take control of their energy costs and planning to manage triads is a key part of an integrated energy strategy.” (http://www.energylivenews.com, 04/09/12)
